ABOUT AM JOINERY
A Craftsman at Heart
AM Joinery is led by Alex, a craftsman joiner with a lifelong interest in creating, building and solving practical challenges through woodwork. From an early age, it was clear that working with wood, tools and imagination was the right path.
Today, Alex brings over 17 years of experience into every bespoke project, combining creativity, precision and a hands-on approach to deliver joinery that is both beautiful and built to last for homes across Warwickshire.
Learning the Craft
After leaving school, Alex began his journey with an apprenticeship at a traditional joinery company in Leicester, where nine years were spent learning both traditional and modern techniques. From curved staircases and sash windows to large commercial fit-outs across the UK, this experience laid the foundations for a high standard of workmanship and precision.
Following this, further years were spent working on shopfitting and commercial installations, managing complex site projects, coordinating trades and solving on-site challenges, experience that now benefits every domestic project undertaken today.
Why AM Joinery Was Founded
Starting a business had always been the long-term goal. In 2023, that ambition became a reality with the formation of AM Joinery Ltd.
What began alongside full-time work quickly grew into a dedicated business focused on delivering bespoke joinery and fitted furniture with a personal, hands-on approach. The aim was simple – to create a company built around craftsmanship, clear communication and pride in every finished piece.
With years of hands-on experience, AM Joinery brings a broad skillset to every project, including:
- Traditional and modern joinery techniques
- Specialist curved and complex joinery work
- Self-taught CAD design and project modelling
- Commercial and domestic fit-outs
- On-site project management and problem solving
- Ongoing learning of new materials, finishes and methods
Beyond the Workshop
Outside of joinery, Alex has strong interest in personal challenges and supporting good causes. From cycling across the Swiss Alps as part of a charity event, raising over £1,000 for a local cancer charity, to competing at national level on velodromes, focus and determination are qualities that carry through into professional work.
There is also a well-known ability to solve a Rubik’s cube faster than a coffee can be made! A small detail that reflects a natural love for problem solving.
Proud to Create Bespoke Joinery for Homes Across Warwickshire
Every project undertaken by AM Joinery is approached with care, precision and genuine pride in the result. Clients can expect a thoughtful, reliable service and workmanship that is designed to last.
